Lebenslauf:
Dejan Matić, born in 1979 in Kruševac (Serbia). He graduated from the Department of Serbian Literature at the Faculty of Philology of Belgrade University.
He has published poetry in literary periodicals. Long term editorial staff secretary of magazines “Poezija” and “Istočnik”. He is one of the founders of the organization Treći Trg (The Third Square), the director of the international Belgrade Festival of Poetry and Books “Trgni se! Poezija! (“Snap up! Poetry!”), and the Editor-in-Chief of the literary periodical Treći Trg (www.trecitrg.org.rs). As an editor he published more than hundred poetry and prose books by Serbian and European writers of different generations, among them the three-volume anthology of French poetry (from XI to XX century) and two anthologies of Polish poetry (XX and XXI century).
He participated at international literary festivals in Poland, Croatia, Spain, Germany, Holland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Finland and the Czech Republic. His poetry has been translated into English, Polish, Russian, Czech, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Hungarian, Catalan, Finnish, Swedish, Dutch, Spanish, Turkish and Danish.
He has published collections of poetry:
Between Thirty-Three and Death (Između trideset treće i smrti, Društvo Istočnik, Belgrade, 2013);
Between Thirty-Three and Death (bilingual English-Serbian edition, translated from Serbian original by Novica Petrović, Treći Trg, Belgrade, 2013);
Hostel (Hostel, KOV, Vršac, 2014).
He has been awarded the “Miroslav Antić” prize for best poetry collection in 2013.

He is a member of Serbian Literary Society.

He lives in Belgrade as an independent artist.
