Some of my duties involve the following:
- Providing Cultural Leadership at the University of the Free State by ensuring that the institution stays abreast with national and international trends in Arts and Culture expression within a higher education context
- Developing and implementing, fundraising and sponsorship strategy for all the activities of the UFS Arts and Culture office
- Establishing new projects and partnerships between the UFS Arts and Culture office and external partners such as community groups, funders and other stakeholders
- Promoting arts and culture of and among diverse students as part of our Human Project and the demographics of our student population and needs
- Promoting arts and culture expression on the UFS campuses
- Organising and coordinating diverse student cultural activities
- Coordinating diverse student cultural associations
- Promoting Cultural Leadership in arts and culture among students
- Serving as liaison officer for cultural activities
- Organising and coordinate events and special projects
- Representing student arts and culture on a local, national and international level
- Managing arts and culture administration and finance
