Amila Ramović (Sarajevo, 1977) is a curator and a musicologist. She has been part of the team of the Ars Aevi Project - Museum of Contemporary Art in Sarajevo since 2000, and its Executive Director since 2005. She has organized dozens of exhibitions and educational projects in the field of contemporary art, and curated exhibitions by leading Bosnian and international artists, among which Braco Dimitrijević's solo exhibition at the Venice Biennale in 2009 and in Sarajevo in 2010, Sing Sing group members in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 2009, in Sarajevo, BIH, in 2011, and at the Museum of Modern Art in Saint Etienne, France, in 2012, John Cage Happy New Ears in Sarajevo in 2013, Peter Ablinger in Sarajevo in 2014. As Ars Aevi's Executive Director she was in charge of coordinating relations with partners in the creation of conditions for the construction of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sarajevo, designed by the architect Renzo Piano. She studied music theory and has been teaching 20th century music theory and aesthetics at the Academy of Music in Sarajevo since 2007. She is the founder and the artistic director of the Sarajevo Sonic Studio, an ongoing initiative for interdisciplinary research in contemporary sonic practice and theory in Sarajevo.
