Lineo Segoete is a creative who engages in various forms of storytelling including writing and photography. Lineo is co-founder and co-curator of Ba re e ne re Literary Arts, in the Kingdom of Lesotho, co-convener of the Another Roadmap Africa Cluster where she is also the lead researcher of the Maseru working-group, knowledge-management consultant and 2016/2017 Humphrey Fellow from Vanderbilt University in the United States.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
CO-DIRECTOR | BA RE E NE RE LITERARY ARTS TRUST, LESOTHO | 2013 - PRESENT
· I Head research and development related to producing learning units relevant to the primary school language curriculum in Lesotho for Another Roadmap School, a global research collective initiated by the Institute for Art Education, Switzerland between 2015 and 2018. I have produced three papers out of this work which are due to be published in 2019.
· Recruited a staff team and formed an executive board to formally register a non-profit educational trust, “Ba re e ne re”, in Lesotho
· I have managed complex logistics and programming for four literary festivals, designed and facilitated multiple writers’ workshops in Lesotho, South Africa, Austria, Holland and Switzerland, local writing contests in Lesotho and two national spelling bees.
· Manage vendor contracts and oversee administrative recordkeeping, policy, programs, procedures and reporting
· Draft successful fundraising proposals for projects of $10,000+ and executed a successful crowdfunding campaign of $1000
· Develop and manage operational budgets as well as concurrent project budgets; draft memorandums of understanding (MOUs)
· Planned, coordinated, hosted and facilitated 2 concurrent colloquia with guests from 5 African and 4 European cities over a period of 10days.
· Curate, design and facilitate creative workshops related to social development and critical literacy for youth aged between 10 and 30 years old in Lesotho.
· Manage human resources and partnerships, finances, and general operations, public relations, customer service and networking

CO- COORDINATOR OF ANOTHER ROADMAP SCHOOL | ZURICH INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS (2016- PRESENT)
· Project Manager for the Maseru research working group which seeks to study current pedagogical practices in primary schools and develop plausible strategies towards advancing language literacy in correlation to the creative arts.
· Designing questionnaires, recruiting a research team, outlining protocols and procedures, workplan, checklist and managing grant finances.
· Co- convener of a 7 country Africa cluster collaboratively leading administrative tasks and coordinating team activities.
· Involved in the management of finances and documentation of programmes ran by the Africa Cluster, as well as liaising with internal and external partners.
· Steering committee member representing the Africa Cluster in the Another Roadmap school, a global arts education research collective, in decisions around topics of discussions, approaches to research and desired outcomes/learning units to be produced at the end of the project.

RESEARCH CONSULTANT | LITERACY DESIGN COLLABORATIVE, NYC | JUNE 2017-DECEMBER 2018
· Responsible for designing, planning, conducting and evaluating impact based on analysis of online data
· Prepare internal summaries of data and make presentations, headline literature reviews, contribute portions of reports, briefs, charts, and graphs that describe and interpret findings of analyses as requested by LDC.
· Identify and contact potential research sites for student achievement analysis as an assistant for Dr. Horatio Blackmon.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT INTERN | UNIVERSITY RESEARCH COMPANY, USAID-ASSIST, LESOTHO | JULY 2017-SEPTEMBER 2017
· Providing technical and administrative assistance to the Senior Strategic Technical Advisor through writing, editing and collection of data for reports and case studies related to Quality Improvement projects ran by URC.
· Designed knowledge management solutions for file access and workflow issues, presented ideas to team which were adopted
· Collaborating with the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and HIV treatment and retention teams in refining final reports for URC Headquarters.
· Condensing Quality Improvement manuals and creating brochures for URC district teams to use during training
· Reconciling inconsistencies in data collected for URC projects across various health centres in Lesotho.

EVENT MANAGEMENT AND MEDIA OFFICER | MORIJA MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES, LESOTHO | 2013-2015
· Planned, led and administrated the calendar of activities
· Managed all media correspondence, co-managed social-media and contributed several blog pieces to the museum’s website
· Led public relations and marketing, participated in strategic-planning sessions with key stakeholders and partners and played the role of ‘Brand Ambassador’ for the museum
