Sladjana Simrak was born in 1990 in Virovitica, Croatia. She is an author of three awarded poetry books. Currently she lives in Belgrade, Serbia where she works as a math teacher, freelance science journalist and a writer.

Since completing the training in science journalism in 2015 at Center for the Promotion of Science in Belgrade, she has been writing popular science articles mainly in mathematics and astronomy area for various publications in Serbia (Elementi magazine, Elementarium, Odiseja magazine, Danas daily newspapers).
She also worked as an editor of a student magazine Binom from 2013 to 2016, and as the main editor of a local literary magazine džBujanje from 2009 to 2015.
