Born an December 25, 1992, in Piatra Neamt, Romania.

Ştefan Baghiu is a Romanian poet and literary critic. He has graduated in 2014 from the Faculty of Literature (Romanian and French) of the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj.
A permanent contributor of the prestigious magazine Cultura, with literary reviews in a weekly column, he also writes for Steaua, Familia and other publications.
He is one of the coordinators at the Nepotu’ lui Thoreau/ Thoreau’s Nephew literary circle in Cluj.
He has been awarded in a very short time the most important literary prizes for young writers in his country, for his first collection of poems Spre Sud, la Lăceni/ Southward, to Lăceni (Cartea Românească Publishing House, Bucharest, 2013):
“The Young Poet of the Year” Prize at the Young Writers Gala (2013);
“Mihai Eminescu” National Poetry Prize – “Opera Prima” (2014);
The Prize of the Magazine “Observator cultural” (2014);
The Romanian Writer’s Union Prize for Debut (2014).

Some of his poems are translated into German, English and French.
He is also interested in music and arts, and now he works on an experimental project.
