Alienated Realities
Milorad Djokić, Boróka Piros, Arpine Tokmajyan

Third presentation of works by its Artists in Residence 2010: From 8 September to 8 October 2010, Milorad Djokić from Serbia, Boróka Piros from Romania and the Armenian Arpine Tokmajyan will be exhibiting artworks at Galerie ArtPoint. The exhibition includes installations, videos, drawings and other works. The artists are spending the months of July, August and September 2010 in Vienna in the context of KulturKontakt Austria’s Artists in Residence Programme for visual artists and photographers.

Rulers, Warriors and Masked People

Tea Hatadi from Croatia, Heldi Pema from Albania and Ardan Özmenoğlu from Turkey will be exhibiting artworks at Galerie ArtPoint from 9 June to 30 July 2010. The exhibition includes installations and images relating to war, aggression and fear, as well as works focussing on questions of origin and identity. The three artists are spending the months of April, May and June 2010 in Vienna in the context of KulturKontakt Austria’s Artists in Residence Programme for visual artists and photographers.

Tonka Maleković aus Kroatien, Dalibor Nikolić aus Bosnien-Herzegowina und Velimir Žernovski aus Mazedonien sind von Jänner bis März 2010 im Rahmen des KKA-Gastatelier-Programms für Bildende KünstlerInnen und FotografInnen in Wien. Von 10.03. bis 31.03.2010 zeigen sie Werke, die während ihres Aufenthalts entstanden sind.

Without Borders: KulturKontakt Austria presents works from Eastern and South Eastern Europe at Galerie ArtPoint, Vienna

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, KulturKontakt Austria contacted artists from Eastern and South Eastern Europe who had received support in the past, with the aim of finding out how they had progressed in their artistic development. Following exhibitions with former KKA Artists in Residence in Prague, Bratislava, Bucharest, Warsaw, Belgrade and Rijeka, the curator Hedwig Saxenhuber invited the following artists to present works in an exhibition in Vienna: Koka Ramishvili (Georgia), Krassimir Terziev (Bulgaria), Galina Myznikova and Sergej Provorov (Russia), Šejla Kamerić (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Katarzyna Kozyra (Poland).
