4 theme evenings on the occasion of KKA’s 20th anniversary

For 20 years, KulturKontakt Austria has been generating important impulses in the area of education and culture, both in Austria and in Eastern and South Eastern Europe. In view of global developments and the pluralism of today’s society, innovative interventions at the interface of education, culture and society are of the essence if we are to honour the entitlement of everyone to societal participation, social cohesion, and creative co-determination of the future in civil societies.

On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, KulturKontakt Austria has organised four evenings during which experts and decision-makers joined in controversial discussion of various present and future challenges that need to be met by educational and cultural policy. KKA plans to hold such discussion evenings in the years to come as well.

In this jubilee year, the chosen themes have been incorporated visually and thematically into the exhibition “Here, There & In Between. The 20th Anniversary of KulturKontakt Austria” at Galerie ArtPoint and had to do with transformation, mobility, participation and CCSR (corporate cultural and social responsibility). These are, at the same time, the points of departure for KulturKontakt Austria’s areas of activity, which are also to be further developed in the context of these four events.
