Quality development
One of the priorities of our partner countries is the reform of educational administration - particularly in the area of decentralisation and in the adaptation of their education systems to the requirements of lifelong learning.
In this context, administrative units, educational institutions and stakeholders will face new tasks for which appropriate and innovative solutions need to be found.
KulturKontakt Austria offers targeted support in the management of change. Projects include training and in-service training measures in the fields of educational management, school development and quality assurance as well as the promotion of cooperation between schools and their environment. Our activities support exchanges of experiences both with experts from Austria and also at a regional as well as a national level. Further services include train-the-trainer programmes for school developers and careers advisors or consultancy in the development of new quality assurance instruments and measures.
Project example: Quality Development in the Yaroslavl Region in Russia
In the context of the ongoing cooperation project, a model for needs-based continuing and further education of school principals is to be developed in the Yaroslavl region. At the same time, experts from the University of Teacher Education Styria, the Provincial School Board of Styria, the Department of Education of the Yaroslavl Region and the Institute for Education Development of the Yaroslavl Region are engaging in exchange on issues of personnel management and the implementation of new standards of education in schools.
