Project-Based Teaching/Learning in Schools

The project is being carried out in cooperation with the in-service teacher training institute in Odessa. In 2010, a total of 20 teachers from eight schools, vice-principals from academic and vocational secondary schools, and trainers from the in-service teacher training institute participated. The goal of the training in the first phase was to enhance competence in project-based teaching, with a focus on project management (use of specific methods and tools for project work, development of a handbook). The second phase, in 2011/2012, focuses on the methodology and didactic techniques to be applied in project-based teaching as part of the regular school curriculum. 25 participants from the secondary school sector, trainers from the in-service teacher training institute, teachers from 10 schools in Odessa and its environs, and staff members of regional methodology centres will receive further training during this phase.
