KulturKontakt Austria (KKA) works in the field of cultural education at the interface between schools, the arts and culture.Our work is based on the central principle that children and young people should be encouraged to participate actively in artistic and cultural processes, taking the circumstances of their own lives as a point of departure.

The projects are carried out in cooperation with artists and culturalprofessionals as well as with artistic and cultural institutions.

Dialogue Events

In dialogue events, artists of all genres work with pupils of all school types in the schools during class time, which has a motivating effect.

Interpädagogica 2011

Auch dieses Jahr war KKA wieder auf der Bildungsfachmesse Interpädagogica in der Messe Wien vertreten. Von 10. bis 12. November 2011 stellten wir auf den Ständen 28 und 29 des BMUKK- Centers aus.

Artists in Creative Education 

Developing a European model for training artists to work with children and young people in schools

Collaborating on this project, which is being funded within the context of the EU support programme “Culture 2007–2013”, are organisations from Great Britain, the Netherlands, Austria (KKA) and Sweden.

Cartoon-project with apprentices

Apprentices of BS Apollogasse/ Vienna produced the Film "Na hui in Gotts Nam" with inland sailors. The Film will be presented at the Apprentices-Gala of "Wirtschaftskammer Wien" on 31. 01. in Vienna. This Project was supported by the KKA-Programme "K3-Cultural Education with Apprentices".
