Cultural Cooperation
KKA supports cultural dialogue projects in all categories of the arts in Eastern and South Eastern Europe and Austria. Activities range from individual grants and scholarships to start-up grants for innovative initiatives via cooperation with event organisers.
Since 1990 KulturKontakt Austria have helped in the realisation of more than 4,000 projects and have carried out numerous other projects on our own. We have cultivated a wide range of contacts in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe.
KulturKontakt Austria supports arts professionals and cultural institutions in/from the following partner countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
So as to be able to respond to the artists’ very different working and living conditions in the individual countries we are continually rethinking the direction of our programmes and promotional measures. By so doing we are not only able to offer resources but also to provide appropriate measures to assist the acquisition of additional training and qualifications in the cultural management sector.
Sponsorship Criteria
On a small scale, KKA supports the participation of artists from Eastern and South Eastern Europe* in specific projects taking place in Austria. The determining criteria for sponsorship are high artistic quality, the innovative character of the respective project, and particular need of financial support.
*KKA provides arts sponsorship exclusively to artists from: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kosovo, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine and Belarus.
