KKA Videoedition

For more than twenty years KKA has been promoting artists from Eastern and South Eastern Europe and is part of a closely intertwined European network. By acting as a platform for artists from Eastern and South Eastern Europe and presenting their works, KKA raises awareness for the rich diversity of contemporary art in the region.

The KKA-Videoedition presents works by artists that have been working with KKA for a long period of time. The aim is to make contemporary art from Eastern and South Eastern Europe more accessible to a broader public.

Volume 2 is including five videos by the romanian artist Patricia Teodorescu. Her videos have been exhibited in important galleries and museums such as the Tate Modern, Essl or The Kitchen (N.Y.). In January 2011 Teodorescu participated in the exhibtion "Statement: I Advocate Feminsim" at Galerie ArtPoint.

Teodorescu`s videos comprise, on the one hand, short reflections on a creative mood, constructing a space for understanding movement or exploring abstract concepts through dynamic use of the body or body parts, and, on the other hand, documentary-type surveys of contemporary social issues.
