Ambiguous Boundaries

At the invitation of KulturKontakt Austria, the Armenian artist and curator Arpine Tokmajyan curated the exhibition “Ambiguous Boundaries”, which presents works by Karine Matsakyan, Mher Azatyan and Karen Alekyan.

KKA verbindet eine mehrjährige Zusammenarbeit mit dem serbischen Regisseur Goran Radovanović und hat aufgrund der qualitätvollen Arbeiten einige seiner Filme gefördert. Von 16. bis 18. 09.2011 präsentiert KKA seine Dokumentar- und Kurzfilme sowie einen Spielfilm.

KulturKontakt Austria extends a cordial invitation to the opening of an exhibition of works by the artists Olivia Mihalţianu from Romania, Behçet Aktaş from Turkey and Doplgenger (Isidora Ilić and Boško Prostran) from Serbia. The artists are spending three months in Vienna as the guests of KulturKontakt Austria (KKA) in the context of the KKA Artists in Residence scholarship programme.

Iz Prištine, s ljubavlju [From Prishtina, in Love] is part of a Serbian-Kosovan literary project. The anthology contains a selection of texts by Albanian authors in Serbian translation. At the same time, the anthology Nga Beogradi, me Dashuri [From Belgrade, in Love] with contributions from Serbian authors, was published in Prishtina in Albanian translation.
The authors Saša Ilić from Serbia and Jeton Neziraj from the Kosovo talk with Antje Contius, S. Fischer Stiftung Berlin, about their idea to this extraordinary project as well as the challenges and positive experiences.

KulturKontakt Austria presents Volume 2 of the KKA-Videoedition at the Viennafair 2011. Volume 2 is including five videos by the Romanian artist Patricia Teodorescu. Her videos have been exhibited in important galleries and museums such as the Tate Modern, Essl or The Kitchen (N.Y.)

EU-Programme „Artists in Creative Education“

Artists create a practical guide to develop successful partnerships with teachers in  primary schools across Europe. Five primary schools in Austria participate in the programme. In Austria „Artists in Creative Education“ has been developed and coordinated by KKA.
